GrowingManufacturing firm in San Jose CA has a need for a Mfg / ProcessEngineer.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may beassigned.
- Studiesfunctional statements organization charts and project informationto determine functions and responsibilities of workers and workunits and to identify areas ofduplication.
- Promoteand utilize Six Sigma Lean and other Operational Excellencetools.
Lead and supportprocess improvement projects deliver timely results trackimprovement and ensure control. Analyzes process effectivenessfacility layout and operational data such as production costsprocess flow charts and production schedules to determine efficientutilization of workers andequipment.
- Recommendsmethods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste ofmaterials and utilities such as restructuring job dutiesreorganizing work flow relocating work stations and equipment andpurchase ofequipment.
- Optimizematerial used to produce products and reduce cost ofmanufacturing
- Reducematerial waste and scrap on manufacturedproducts
- Conferswith management and engineering staff to implement plans andrecommendations.
- Developsmanagement systems for cost analysis financial planning and jobevaluation.
- PerformErgonomic Studies ofjobs.
- Developdatabase programs as needed to aid in flow ofinformation.
Track andrecord pertinent data for developmentalproducts.
- Submit newproducts for testing and / orcertification.
- Developand maintain Departmental JobProcedures.
- Maintainand distribute various reports formanagement.
- Overtimeis required asneeded
