The Space and Intelligence Sector is seeking an Expert-level (18+ years) Systems Engineer to work within our dynamic Sensor Integration team in either Springfield or Chantilly VA.
The Sensor Integration team supports the Government by providing systems engineering and integration support for NGA’s Sensor Integrations (TIS) Office.
This team provides strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.
Candidates require analytic tradecraft expertise for exploiting Infrared (IR) products to support the intelligence needs of operational users, with insight into IR sensors to include technical strengths and limitations for various operational use cases.

Skills and Experience :
Required :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
- 18+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including : DoD / IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
- Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.
- Analytic tradecraft expertise for exploiting Infrared (IR) products to support the intelligence needs of operational users.
- Insight into IR sensors to include technical strengths and limitations for various operational use cases.
- Good understanding of the national OPIR architecture and sub-systems, and how their products compare against the products of GEOINT systems.
- General Imaging Science technical background and programmatic expertise in developing GEOINT TCPED systems.
- TS / SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
