The Team Leader has expert skills in conducting sleep studies, sleep staging and technical scoring of sleep events according to the American Association of Sleep Medicine standards and departmental policies and protocols.
The team leader assists the manager and supervisor in the clinical operations and responsibilities during night sleep study acquisitions.
This includes providing training of new staff, along with staff development in sleep study acquisition. Review / triage night sleep studies for assignments and assure quality in study acquisition, accurate staging and scoring and protocols are followed.
Assist in troubleshooting of sleep testing equipment, and inventory oversight. He / she scores and completes sleep technical reports, including the assessment of accuracy and quality of sleep recording for all technicians.
The Team Leader will provide these duties along with performing sleep tests. Communicates any quality concerns or technical problems to the supervisor.
Works collaboratively with day staff communication. Provides on-call duties as needed.
