Systems Dev Engineer - Device OS, End User Device Engineering

We are seeking a Senior Unified Endpoint Engineer to support the stores End User Devices Engineering, that will be in charge to define the strategy, including engineering solutions specifically for the modern imaging, deployment, and management of endpoints, applications and the automation within the unified endpoint management platform to increase efficiencies, enhance visibility, and decrease delivery time.

This role will have responsibility for platform and endpoint software upgrades to support patching, compliance, application delivery, and will be responsible for all aspects of release and change management for applicable systems including but not limited to end points, IOTs and smart devices in store.

This role will also provide technical guidance to project teams, ensuring new initiatives have endpoint dependencies and configuration management needs appropriately scoped and enabled and will work to build, leverage, and maintain effective partnerships across the enterprise.

Key job responsibilities

The Senior Unified Endpoint Engineer in this role will be responsible for :

  • The global technology strategy of products and services that sit within the User Device Engineering and Security teams.
  • Review the current technology roadmaps and strategy and propose new solutions considering innovation, business drivers, and changes in the technology landscape.
  • Serve as an expert in the field of operations and technology, and quickly develop a deep understanding of store Lines of business.
  • Act as a leader to architect, design, build, resolve complex business requirements, implement best practices, and apply technical governance with a keen focus on the stores.
  • Works closely with all facets of the teams as well as 3rd party vendor partners to ensure the business has a stable, predictable and efficiently defined domain.
  • Drive infrastructure services vision, enable innovation, and leverage Amazon tech trends while providing input to technology roadmaps and strategies across a set of services.
  • Drive transformational programs to improve operational efficiencies and direct / deliver enterprise technology.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
