About The Position
Job Title : Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Job Specialty : Rehabilitation Therapy Job Duration : 12 months Shift : Flexible Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year License : State Licensure Certifications : Graduate from an ACOTE Accredited Degree Program, NBCOT certification, CPR Certification Must-Have : Entry level, willing to train Job Description : Work alongside an Occupational Therapist in various therapy settings.
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.- Assist individuals coping with illnesses, injuries, or disabilities in overcoming daily activity obstacles.
- Practice occupational therapy under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist.- Comply with guidelines from the American Occupational Therapy Association and relevant state and federal laws.
- Provide feedback and voice suggestions in collaboration with Occupational Therapists.- Document therapy services accurately in medical records.
- Prepare necessary documentation for billing and discharge planning as instructed.- Help residents with therapeutic exercises, providing instruction or physical assistance as needed.
- Monitor and assess the resident's environment to identify any barriers affecting therapy.- Contribute in meetings, case conferences, and customer service programs to meet facility goals.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients. Holiday Coverage Required : Yes Bilingual : Not Required
