About The Position
Job Title : CT Technologist Job Specialty : MSBI Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8A-5P Mon-Fri Guaranteed Hours : 37.50 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of CT tech experience required License : New York State License (L.
R.T) Certifications : American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and CT certification), BLS certification Must-Have : At least 1 year of CT experience;
Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program Job Description : Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before any patient study.
- Administer radioactive materials to patients as per physician's orders and prescribed protocols.- Adhere to department documentation policies by maintaining all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principles.
- Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
- Verify receipt and activity level of radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery according to policy and procedure.- Exercise appropriate judgment in assessing and responding to patient needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
- Perform CT procedures following prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.This post is designed for professionals who meet the specified licensing and certification requirements and have the necessary experience in CT technology.
