The Optometry Technician Tallows us to maintain a high level of patient care, along with efficient patient flow and scheduling
Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do :
Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Assess patient’s conditions : take vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, respiration, height and weight, and BMI.
Document this information in the patient’s medical records (eClinicalWorks).
- Perform vision tests as requested. Prepare examination rooms and stocking rooms with appropriate medical supplies.
- Pretests patients prior to seeing doctor, including use of auto-refractor, NCT, lensometer, visual field testing OCT and fundus photography.
What you need to succeed
To become one of our CARES-givers, you will have excellent patient engagement, strong communication skills and an eye for continuous improvement.
You will also have the following :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year o ptometry experience
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic
- Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar and MS Office Suite skill
- Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese, Rohingya or any other languages a plus
- Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations
- Have a servant heart with the desire to make a positive impact
