Job Description :
- Work in an 8-bed ICU with a patient ratio of 2 : 1.
- Participate in unit staffing with the goal of maintaining 4 RNs 24 / 7.
- Utilize equipment including GE B650 cardiac monitors and Gaymar cooling systems.
- Document using the Meditech system.
- Engage in self-scheduling with the requirement of every other weekend shifts, offering flexible scheduling and possible overtime opportunities.
- Be prepared to float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed.
- Focus on enhancing patient experience through AIDET validation and emphasizing nurse communication.
- Perform procedures such as ventilator care, therapeutic hypothermia, PCI / STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE / cardioversion, temporary pacemaker insertion, and manage conditions like sepsis, stroke / TPA, and DKA.
- Actively respond as part of the Code Blue and Rapid Response Team.
- Maintain professional appearance in scrubs.
