Job Title : Diesel Mechanic (Specializing in Pickups)

Company Overview : Our client is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in maintaining and repairing pickups.
Job Summary : The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding diesel engines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel pickup engines.
- Safety & Compliance :
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE and following procedures for hazardous materials handling.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Certifications : ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in diesel mechanics preferred but not required.
- Skills :
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and brake repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair is preferred.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in outdoor conditions and various weather environments.
