Position Summary

The Human Resources Director will lead all HR functions including policy development and implementation, all aspects of employment and legal compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with management to understand their needs and collaborate on solutions.
  • Ensure HRIS systems are maintained with current employee data as well as benefit specifications and plan changes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting for DOT, EEOC, ACA and OSHA and others as needed.
  • Manage unemployment responses.
  • Support managers and supervisors in employee relations and engagement, onboarding, training and performance management.
  • Attract, hire and retain qualified talent; manage offer letters and onboarding, communicate staff changes with team to ensure proper payroll actions.
  • Perform employee benefits administration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the human resource field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Working Conditions

General office environment.
