POSITION DESCRIPTION
- The position will be responsible for evaluating and completing full underwriting / due diligence of potential investment opportunities in Community Development Financial Institutions or SBIC funds.
- Responsible for performing detailed strategic and financial analysis which accurately measures the risks and rewards of prospective investments and subsequently formulating recommendations relating to consummation of such investments.
- Responsible for following all processes and procedures, as well as adhering to established underwriting standards, in coordination with other internal departments and / or external legal counsel when needed.
- Lead the coordination of the underwriting activities involving attorneys, accountants, business and staff areas throughout the company.
- Coordinate and resolve, if necessary, all issues as they relate to regulatory conflicts and / or approvals, accounting issues, and business and support unit issues.
- Effectively challenge business projections and compile thorough documentation of underwriting process to evidence critical milestones.
- Prepare and provide status support for Management as required.
- Assist with preparation of investment-specific Board materials when required.
- Prepare final package to evidence all steps of the process including support.
