About The Position
Job Title : Interventional Radiology Rad Tech Job Specialty : General Radiologic Technologist Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 5x8 days (may consider 4x10s) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Two (2) years of experience required License : Technician License (ANY Tech License accepted in the state) Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), VIR Certified Must-Have : - Competency in Hospital Information Systems, Radiology Information Systems, and PACS - Ability to work cooperatively with all department members Job Description : Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and producing radiologic images of diagnostic quality.
- Work cooperatively with department members to resolve issues efficiently.- Display flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability in customer interactions.
- Demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to patient rights in all interactions.- Instruct and prepare patients for examinations;
- assist radiologists during procedures.- Show proficiency in equipment operation; report malfunctions promptly.- Complete assigned procedures efficiently;
assist with department tasks and room turnover.- Maintain medication security, ensuring access only for authorized personnel.
- Provide healthcare services competently across all age groups.- Show competency in interpersonal relationships with individuals of all ages.
- Demonstrate competency in using hospital information systems and participate in performance improvement activities.- Maintain confidentiality using personal credentials and maintain patient care module privacy.
- Answer technical inquiries from physicians or hospital personnel with good phone etiquette.
