Job Summary and Qualifications

Radiology Technologist

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist whowill take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment.

You willperform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Tech may include :

You will possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures

You will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated

You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated

You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and / or devices indicated

You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist

You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table / equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications :

2 year or Associated Degree (Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology)

ARRT Certification

Florida license to practice medical imaging

1 year hospital based experience preferred

Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and / or equipment up to 50 lbs.
