This role offers a hybrid work option, meaning you can both work from home and commute to a LinkedIn office, depending on what’s best for you and when it is important for your team to be together.

We are seeking a talented engineering leader and manager to help guide the development of our native LinkedIn Application for iOS.

As a part of our world-class software engineering team, you will be charged with architecting, designing, developing, and supporting the most visible native application products at LinkedIn.

The ideal candidate will be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on many computer science disciplines including product design, usability, user experience, building APIs, user-centric applications, business logic, scaling performance, and 24x7 reliability.

This position is full-time and based in our Mountain View office.Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance and career development of a team of engineers targeting iOS native application development, and own significant parts of LinkedIn products that require design, architecture, and coding.
  • Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology road map.
  • Be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship.
  • Work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
  • Manage teams to create performant mobile applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speediness and quality.
  • Develop delightful, smooth, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.
  • Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.Basic Qualifications
  • BA / BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of management experience or 1+ year(s) of staff level engineering experience with management training
  • 5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software engineering
  • Experience coding in one or more of the programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, JavaScript, Python, C++, etc.Preferred Qualifications
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of hands-on software engineering / technical management and people management experience
  • 7+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
  • 5+ years programming experience in languages such as Java, C / C++, C#, Python, Go, etc.Suggested Skills

The pay range for this role is $147,000 to $240,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and / or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
