Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location : Fort Worth, TX
Shift : 8-Hour Day Shifts (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM), 5 shifts per week, 40 hours per week.
Salary Range : $34 - $55 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 sign-on bonus plus relocation assistance available.
Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment, providing care to high-acuity patients across a variety of surgical specialties.
You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and excellent surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring adherence to surgical protocols and safety standards.
- Assist in surgeries across multiple specialties including cardiac (open heart), abdominal organ transplant, general, orthopedic, urology, head and neck, neurosurgery, spine, podiatry, and trauma.
- Manage patient ratios of 1 : 1 in the 17-suite OR.
- Maintain sterile environments and ensure proper equipment usage.
- Actively participate in training and mentorship programs, including assisting with the education of newly hired nurses and guiding them in surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, enhancing patient recovery and outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience required.
- Current RN license.
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and OR protocols.
