As the Cloud Infrastructure Lead at LCP, you will be working at the intersection of traditional infrastructure and the innovative potential of AI and automation.
With 90% of our infrastructure in Azure and 10% on-premise, this role is primarily hands-on, encompassing 75% engineering and design, complemented by 25% focused on policy, process, and documentation.

What will you be doing?
You will play a crucial role in LCP's transformation, blending technological advancements with strategic insight to enhance our infrastructure with a particular focus on :
- Deputising for the Head of Infrastructure and act as a technical authority in the design and end-to-end delivery of new technical infrastructure solutions
- Undertaking analysis of technical infrastructure issues, opportunities and requirements, translating these into technical designs that describe a solution and building these into the future design patterns
- Establishing, embedding and promoting reusable architectural designs and patterns based on standards and best practices for technology infrastructure
- Identifying and remediating complex infrastructure issues, including cross-functional collaboration with technical and non-technical teams as required
- Supporting, designing and implementing processes and controls that assure maximum uptime and quick service to stakeholders for both physical and cloud-based workloads
- Establishing and cultivating relationships with stakeholders, being a trusted advisor and technical authority within the firm’s engineering community and championing best practices
- Participating in the on-call rota providing 24 / 7 across 365 days of the year for critical and high priority incidents
What are we looking for?
- First-hand experience and knowledge of modern infrastructure technologies (Office 365 and Azure services are essential), emerging standards and trends
- Experience of infrastructure within a DevOps environment, enabling product development and platform engineering teams to increasingly automate and self-serve secure, reliable, and scalable resources
- Experience of physical infrastructure technologies, including IP based networks, WAN technologies, virtualisation, DHCP / DNS and SAN / NAS storage and experience with Linux OS’s and Bash scripting
- PowerShell and automation skills along with IaC skills preferably on Terraform
- Palo Alto and Meraki experience
- The ability to apply strategy, using patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements, challenging and providing guidance where appropriate and the experience to design systems characterised by level of risk, impact and business or technical complexity, working across multiple services or a single large or complex service
- The ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritisation and pragmatism
