Knowledge of a multitude of generic / trade name medications is required. Adherence to and familiarity with control and safety concepts as outlined in policies, state laws and JCAHO Standards for the Department of Pharmacy.
Ability to function in a unit dose pharmacy distribution system. Accurately processes patient medication orders and billing adjustments as required.
Maintains adequate inventory for daily operations of various Pharmacy areas. Must have excellent communications skills in order to promote customer delight (i.

Accurately processes Code Boxes, Crash Carts and any other re-stockable medication supply system. Orders meds / supplies as needed by utilizing 'want book' or Drug Wholesaler data entry.
Processes Pyxis refills, stock-outs, loads to all areas. Delivers medications as required to any nursing area.
