Summary

The objective of this position is to generate new business for ELDS through making a high volume of outbound phone calls on a daily basis and negotiating new contracts with prospective customers within the trucking and transportation industry.

Essential Functions

  • Generate an individual book of business through high-volume outbound phone calls, including cold and followup calls, with a goal of 100+ calls per day
  • Quickly qualify new customers and move them through the sales funnel
  • Communicate and follow up daily with new and current customers as necessary
  • Consistently meet a minimum monthly quota for new customer contracts and active devices

  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Persistence and follow-through

Specialized Knowledge

  • Expert level knowledge of ELDS product offering and competitors’ products
  • Expert level knowledge of the ELD final rule and mandate
  • General trucking and transportation industry knowledge including regularly used terminology
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs

Other Qualifications (recommended)

  • 3 years of inside sales experience in a similar industry
  • 4 year bachelor degree
  • Proven track record of sales success

Other Job Notes

  • Working hours Monday through Friday from 9 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
  • Paid hourly plus monthly, uncapped, sales commission based on individual sales
