What this position entails
IntelliScript’s Information Technology has been a key part of our success and is critical to our future. In this role, you will have responsibility for IntelliScript’s tiered test strategy, acting as a quality advocate within the development team.
You will build and integrate automated test routines into the CI / CD pipelines, with results and metrics published via Azure DevOps.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will emphasize data-driven, incremental improvements to our quality strategy while also helping to perform existing manual testing.
You will collaborate on IntelliScript’s transition from manual to automated testing, making key contributions to our DevOps culture.
What you’ll be doing
- Contribute to team planning and analysis of software development projects
- Test planning and manual test execution exploratory, functional, smoke, stress, and regression testing
- Design and build automated tests to help elevate the quality of our products and development efforts
- Support release cycles with pre and post release testing and coordination
- Collaborate with your teammates and be an advocate for quality and testing across the entire software development life cycle
- Take ownership of leading quality assurance best practices, including test automation efforts, for a team
What we need
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with automated and manual testing
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies
- Familiarity with testing and test planning with both manual and automation tools and scripts
- Ability to create and execute test cases to identify bugs or performance concerns
- Experience with full software development lifecycle
- Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills
- Understanding and practice of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
- Strong SQL experience

- Strong experience testing C#, JavaScript, .NET applications, APIs and services
- Understanding of creating, implementing, and maintaining software programs
- Certified Scrum Developer (CSD)
- Understanding of DevOps principles
- Experience in environments subject to HIPAA and / or PCI regulations
- Experience in software-as-a-service, actuarial science and / or insurance underwriting industry
Location
This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, this position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed.
The base salary for the position will vary with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $105,000 depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.
If overall experience is less than 4 years the range would be $55,000 - $85,000; for experience of greater than 4 years, the range would be $65,000 - $105,000.
In addition, we offer a significant performance-based bonus plan, profit sharing, and generous benefits.
