Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that educational goals are aligned with their unique abilities and strengths.
- Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to meet the individual needs of students, including those with learning disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a cohesive team approach to student support and intervention.
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies and assistive technologies to facilitate student learning and promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to address areas of difficulty or challenge.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student performance, attendance, and behavior in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid California Teaching Credential with Special Education endorsement.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities in a school-based setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community partners.
