We are hiring an experienced EIT or PE to join our team. The role will be focused on land development for a diverse client base, including K-12 and higher education, commercial, restaurant, office, municipal, park district, historic preservation, and infrastructure improvement projects across the United States.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering technology as they relate to land development including the design of drainage and stormwater systems, water systems, sanitary sewer systems, parking, and roadways
Utilize Civil 3D software to prepare exhibits and construction documents
Utilize stormwater management and storm sewer software to design and permit land development projects
Reviews regulations and standards necessary to carry out project design and permitting work
Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects
Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods
Receives instructions from Senior Engineers as to the general results expected
Responsible for accuracy and quality of engineering design, reports, and plans and maintaining conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards
Perform site investigations and construction observation on-site services
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Other general office processes and procedures and project activities
Actively participate in a company committee
REQUIREMENTS
Expert knowledge of land development, stormwater, and roadway codes and standards
Knowledge of land development site design· Strong project management skills
4-year degree in Engineering required, EIT and / or PE preferred· Minimum of 3 years experience in civil engineering
Demonstrable understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D· Knowledge of stormwater management software
Excellent communication skills
