Job Summary

We areseeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (known in theindustry as Project Manager) who is specialized in Petrochemicalsto join our Project Management team (PMT).

This Company ProjectManagement Teams are responsible and accountable for the deliveryof best in class capital projects. PMT is directly involved inexecuting and managing assigned projects safely on schedule withinbudget and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

This will involve engineering design procurement and constructionof various sizes ($) types and complexity of small medium tomultibilliondollar mega projects.

Project Management Team managesand executes projects usually from multiple site offices orengineering contractor design offices geographically scatteredthroughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The primary role is to leadand manage a unit with several project engineers and sitesuperintendents in charge of executing capital projects.

Ensurethat engineering design procurement construction and projectcompletion is done in compliance with the project objective andcontractual requirements i.

e. project schedule cost HSE companystandards and procedures. The Sr. Project Engineer role alsoinvolves managing the business aspects of the unit consisting ofbut not limited to HR training cost control schedule controlcybersecurity requirements and manpower planning.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the execution of capital projectsensuring they align with the defined scope schedule andbudget.
  • Manage the team within your unitresponsible for project execution offering guidance and directivesto ensure successful project completion.
  • Utilize your expertise in Petrochemical projects toprovide appropriate actions and guidance to the team in all projectphases.
  • Provide technical and projectmanagement oversight across the entire project lifecycle includingdesign construction precommissioning commissioning startup andproject closeout.
  • Ensure timely resolution ofproject issues that may arise during any phase of projectdevelopment.
  • Implement safety measures toensure the safe execution of projects.
  • Implement company initiatives within projects anddivisional business processes.
  • Be fullyfamiliar with the companys Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) andwork towards achieving them for projects within yourdivision.
  • Prepare and review monthly projectperformance reports that detail the status of design materialprocurement construction milestones commitments payments chargesvariances from standards waivers and problems and present thesereports to higher management.
  • Anticipate andplan for changes in project scope timing or costs and prepare thenecessary documentation for management approval.
  • Allocate appropriate manpower to all parts and phases ofthe project.
  • Ensure that each divisionemployee is assigned appropriate training and developmentpaths.
  • Oversee and review incoming andoutgoing correspondence related to assigned projects.
  • Maintain proper job records for all assignedprojects.
  • Negotiate agreements and changeorders with design and execution contractors.
  • Guide and direct team members in applying This Companystandards with the goal of minimizing variances from thesestandards.
  • Take overall responsibility forproject development which includes tasks like engineering studieslicensors selection technical bid reviews preliminary engineeringdetail design materials procurement construction precommissioninghandover commissioning startup and project closeout.
  • Regularly review weekly and monthly reports on contractstatus project costs and schedule. Attend various project meetingsincluding those focused on progress stakeholders design review andvalue improvement.
  • Review the project schedulecoordinate and monitor project progress and addressunderperformance issues with contractors.
  • Uphold engineering ethics and maintain high standards ofprofessional behavior and conduct.

Requirements :

  • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • Hold a Bachelors degreein Engineering from a recognized and approved program (advanceddegree preferred)
  • Obtain a PMP PgMP orequivalent certification
  • Possess 15 years ofexperience in project management related to refining andpetrochemical industries specializing in Petrochemicals
  • This includes seven (7) years of experience as SeniorProject Engineer or project manager in design constructionprecommissioning commissioning startup and operation with projectvalues ranging from $500MM to $billion.
  • Have expertise in Engineering Design &Construction phases with thorough knowledge of engineeringpractices and economic principles in applicable International CodesStandards and Specifications.
  • Masterinternational procedures of Projects Phases Engineering PhasesBidding procedures Procurement Processes Construction Requirementsand Best Practices as well as familiarity with This Companyprocedures and standards.
  • Understand contractdocuments (inclusive of appendices drawings and specifications)project execution plans interface management change managementconstruction sequencing standards specifications and projectschedules to support the Department Manager in timely projectcompletion.
  • Possess a mastery understanding ofscheduling principles and recovery methods.
  • Have expertise in cashflow distribution in projectsresource planning and distribution and crisis management with theability to calmly manage project issues.
  • Exhibit a dynamic attitude towards project improvementsand cost savings.
  • Be flexible to work inmultinational teams and mobilize to different locations includingremote areas as needed.
