- Description : *What we need A Desktop Engineer to join our Windows Infrastructure Group! The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our VDI environment, including Windows 10 / 11 client images and GPO, and act as an escalation point for Windows Desktop Break / Fix Troubleshooting of employee reported issues, User Account Setup / Change / Deletion, Group Membership Changes, PC / Laptop / VM Setup / Decommission, MDM Support and Windows / 3rd Party Patching.What you’ll do
- Work in a high paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Install, configure and maintain Microsoft (MS) Windows Operating Systems networks, custom applications, and peripherals
- Manage and maintain internal VDI Infrastructure
- Create, Delete, Update Active Directory Users, Group, and Group Policies as needed to meet company needs
- Troubleshoot complex system-level problems with physical and virtual workstations, laptops, and applications
- Implement and maintain security controls on all corporate systems
- Respond to ticket requests and emails submitted by employees
- Perform daily / weekly / monthly health checks of the Desktop Infrastructure
- Participate in Disaster Recovery testing
- Document system and application setups / deploymentsWhat you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred but will consider appropriate work experience and / or relevant certifications.
- Three or more years on hands-on Corporate IT / Network Support experience with solid technical troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to explain complex issues to end users
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated experience supporting workstations, laptops, printers and line of business applications
- Certification(s) such as MCITP, MCSA a strong plus
- Strong written documentation skills are required
- Knowledge of Windows Operation System such as Windows 10 and Windows 11 required
- Knowledge of ADDs, GPO’s, DHCP, DNS, NTFS required
- Experience creating and maintaining GPO’s is required
- Experience managing and maintaining a VDI environment is a strong plus
- Experience working with a heavily Virtualized environment using VMware vSphere a strong plus
- Experience packaging software for distribution to corporate PCs / Laptops a strong plus
- Experience with automation products such as Ivanti LanDesk Manager a strong plus
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting strong plus
