About The Position
Job Title : Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Specialty : Long Term Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift, 8 hours, 32-40 hours per week Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 1 year of SLP experience in Long Term Care or Rehab License : Valid, unrestricted state license in therapy discipline Certifications : CCC certified SLP Must-Have : - Valid driver's license - Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines for long-term care Job Description : - Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities.
- Decrease risks of aspiration in residents. - Design communication treatment plans to enhance understanding and expression for individuals.
- Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services within the facility. - Ensure all services comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Provide appropriate care and services to residents in a long-term care setting. - Occasionally work during weekends as needed.
