We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Studies Program Manager to join our growing Energy team in Atlanta, GA.
The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of related experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will lead the Electrical System Studies program for clients across the United States.
Projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to design projects.
We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages development and leads team of electrical engineers performing electrical system analysis.
- Provides guidance and direction on system study services growth opportunities, new market entry plans, departmental standards, policies and procedures.
- Drives growth and improvement for electrical engineering team including technical training, innovations, work tools, and software requirements.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of industry knowledge and remains current with changes.
- Actively seeks to understand client interests and drivers through business development and project related client contact.
- Attends and leads internal and external client meetings, conference calls and client site visits.
- Supports Business Development by providing technical information for sales proposals, attending conferences and by pursuing other related activities as assigned by department directors.
- Supports project teams and clients, regularly interacts with client's technical lead for data requests, site visits, clarification of project execution and review of comments.
- Communicates and coordinates tasks directly with internal project managers and / or disciplines to identify and coordinate details of work for successful project execution.
- Coordinates a variety of engineering deliverables such as contract documents, project documents, and studies.
- Oversees complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
- Understands and adheres to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Recognizes, defines, and seeks to resolve problems within assigned area or project.
- Provides input during planning of project resources and assists managers in resource planning activities.
- Assists in the development and production of project scope of work packages (scope, schedule & budget) for assigned electric system studies resources.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Master's Degree encouraged.
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
- 10+ Years of experience in the following :
- Familiarity with PSCAD, ETAP, SKM, EMTP, or other power systems software.
- Experience delivering multiple engineering system studies projects simultaneously.
- Experience with advanced technical studies, such as, Voltage Drop, Power flow, Power Reliability, Harmonics and Reactive Power, and Microgrid Protection Coordination.
- Overseeing technical resources and aspects of projects and providing guidance and mentorship.
- Ability to discuss project findings with the client and present results to the industry at conferences.

Additional Information
Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience.
Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Program Manager with a salary range of $115,700.00 - $186,800.00.
