The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU - Zayed 9 East) at Johns Hopkins is an 18-bed unit with a diverse patient population receiving various types of surgeries in this ICU, including, Abdominal Transplant, GI Surgery, Trauma, Vascular Surgery, Ortho / Neuro Spine procedures and General Surgery.
The SICU team is composed of a unit based multi-disciplinary team. Registered Nurses (RNs) in the SICU take great pride in providing high quality post-operative surgical care every day! Teamwork is the common thread to everything the SICU does, come join our team!
Registered Nurse 2 Surgical Intensive Care Unit (Zayed 9E) - This position is for the experienced Acute Care RN that has achieved RN I competencies in an adult Surgical ICU.
Requirements :
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- BSN / MSN strongly preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
- Tuition reimbursement - BSN / MSN matriculation required within one-year of hire and completion of degree within five-years of hire.
- Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is required.
- CPR / BLS certification required. AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
- The ideal candidate is proficient in Acute Care and Registered Nurse 1 competencies.

- Nurses hired with an Associate’s degree in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN / MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of your start date.

Salary Range : Minimum 36.31 per hour - Maximum 56.28 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
