Sr. Software Engineer, Payments.

Vimeos Payments team is looking for a hard-working & passionate Senior Software Engineer to help us build & scale our Payments Platform.

Our platform is what enables the sale of all products & services on Vimeo. We are responsible for pricing, packaging, checkout experience, subscription management, fraud prevention, internal tooling, & payment ops.

What youll do :

• Collaborate closely with our Product & Engineering teams to move key projects from conception to launch.
• Develop, test, deploy, & monitor software on our Payments Platform to improve product offerings, fraud detection, compliance strategy, & user entitlement tracking.
• Improve our tooling to identify & debug production issues across multiple levels of the stack.

Skills & knowledge you should possess :

• Experience with at least one server-side programming language (PHP, Python, Go, Java, Ruby, Node, etc)
• Knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc) & data modeling techniques
• Experience with testing frameworks & methodologies
• Ability to mentor & support more junior engineers
• Ability to collaborate respectfully & effectively with both technical & non-technical teams
• A good eye for details; you catch bugs frequently & can provide meaningful feedback on the technical complexity of proposed solutions

Bonus points (nice skills to have, but not needed) :

• Experience in front end web development (React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc)
• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs
• Experience developing with Restful APIs

Targeted Base Salary Range : $127,800 to $196,000

The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
