Dockside Pub is looking for an experienced Chef. We are looking for someone that can maintain and grow the business - order and inventory food - develop an amazing cooking team.

Job Duties :

  • Check freshness of food and ingredients
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers
  • Develop recipes and determine how to present the food
  • Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
  • Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers
  • Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
  • Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards
  • set up and execute catered parties and buffets etc

5+ years experience

  • Food cost, Inventory, and labor control
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • TEAMWORK and a GREAT attitude are required!
  • Must have flexible availability Weekends & Holidays required
  • Accurately and efficiently teach how to cook meats, fish, vegetables and other hot food products
  • Ability to keep work area clean, organized and to code
  • Previous high volume experience preferred
