Salary : $80K range; based on experience

Responsibilities of the Director of Social Services-Nursing Home :
- Plans and directs a comprehensive social services program which provides support services for residents and families.
- Responsible for coordinating all admissions and discharges to ensure facility census is kept at its maximum capacity.
- Participates in an interdisciplinary team approach to better serve the needs of the facility population.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Must have prior experience as a Social Worker in a nursing home setting
- Must have LMSW
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies I personnel and the general public.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional staff.
- Must be a self-starter and energetic
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
