The RegisteredProfessional Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs,implements and manages the needs of
assigned patientsthroughout the episode of care with a focus on progress towarddischarge, including during
transitions within the acutecare stay. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for thedelivery and
coordination of patient care provided by thecaregiving team. S / he assures that competent, compassionate
patient care is uniformly provided to customers includingreferring facilities, hospital staff and patients in the
inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Registered Professional Nurses that participate in the NursingProfessional Advancement Pathway (NPAP)
must progressfrom novice to competent within a specialty. Nurses are eligible toapply for advancement to
proficient or expert status asoutlined in theNPAP
Salary Range : $34.65 - $35.69
