We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Platform Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, a passion for operational excellence, and a proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership and Management :
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud engineers and operations professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
- Set clear goals, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to team members.
Operational Excellence :
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Implement best practices for cloud infrastructure management, including monitoring, automation, and incident response.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, documentation, and runbooks.
- Strategic Planning :
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define the strategic direction for cloud platform operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, performance improvements, and service enhancements.
- Drive initiatives to modernize and scale our cloud infrastructure to meet growing business needs.
Project Management :
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support product development and deployment activities.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Technical Expertise :
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and infrastructure operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team in troubleshooting complex issues.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance operational capabilities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud platform operations, with at least 5 years in a program management role.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing operations / SRE teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI / CD, Jenkins, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Salary Range : $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
