Sr. Associate, Risk Management

As a Senior Risk Specialist in Capital Ones FS Data Strategy and Products team, youll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One.

Senior Risk Specialists at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills.

They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.

Responsibilities :

Data Risk Consulting to one or more Business Areas relative to their business lines and provide advice and guidance as required

Client Management - Develop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across the enterprise

Processing requests from internal stakeholders for access to data assets

Designing and implementing access constructs for new or evolving business use cases where data access is required

Maintaining and executing access controls

Corrective action - Identify and track events and issues to mitigate risk to Capital One. Coordinate with applicable business areas to define / implement remediation activities

Basic Qualifications :

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

At least 2 years of Risk Management experience

At least 1 year of experience coding in Python, R, Spark, or SQL

At least 1 year of experience with Agile, Lean or Six Sigma methodologies

At least 1 year of experience working with AWS services

At least 1 year of experience in data governance, data quality management concepts or data quality tools (such as Informatica DQ)

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree or military experience

3+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk

4+ years of Risk Management Experience

PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)
