Position : Lead, Events - Part-time
Reports to : Manager, Events
Background : Insignia Event Services (IES) is a newly created business unit affiliated with the Arizona Cardinals, tasked with producing all events at State Farm Stadium including all Arizona Cardinals games.
In addition to Arizona Cardinals games, Insignia Event Services exclusively manages Sportsman's Park (SP), a site for pre-game festivities, tailgating, concerts, festivals, weddings, graduations, corporate events, and more.
The three pillars of Insignia's current revenue are : events at Sportsman's Park, parking operations for the lots around State Farm Stadium (SFS), and creative production (i.
e., the production team for the Cardinals' home games is Insignia Event Services). As a member of IES, team members will execute with excellence, grow self and brand, put the client and client experience at the center, and keep operations safe, compliant, healthy and fun.
Job Summary :
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Events (Non-State Farm Stadium), the Lead, Events will support all aspects of the Events Department with an emphasis on the event day coordination and execution.
This position is responsible for the detailed coordination between Insignia Event Services and our clients. Our ideal candidate is customer-focused, assertive, and passionate about creating unique content while producing exceptional events.
This candidate is required to work weekends and must have flexible hours of availability.
Primary Job Duties :
- Provide high levels of customer service
- Oversee and execute event day operations and client relations
- Lead set up and strike of events with coordination with event operations team
- Manage venue load-ins and loadouts efficiently and upholding necessary safety precautions
- Read and / or create event data and timeline sheet, working with parking, operations and production to adequately execute event needs.
- Coordinate detail prior to and following an event including vendors, city officials, and teammate communications.
- Send confirmation emails to all departments involved in events
- Execute permits and inspections needed for events to include (Fire Marshall - State, City Permits and Extension of Premise)
- Main point of contact for breakdown at the end of events including aiding in event packing after the event, checking equipment into an inventory system, communication with sponsors or partners etc.
- Pre-plans for upcoming events as necessary
- Attends staffing and pre-event meetings with each department and client
- Reaches out to potential inquiries to obtain information for the Events Department
- Compile all event expenses into folders for Director, Events (Non-Stadium) / Manager, Events to review
- Assists Event, Manager with on-site logistics
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements :
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, required
- Previous event, management, or team lead experience
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- A team player who cares about the team's success
- High verbal and written communication skills preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Performs well under pressure preferred
- Accuracy and high level of attention to detail required
- Must have a driver's license
- Must have the ability to stand for 8+ hours
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work outside in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise
- Flexibility with work varying schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Must be available to work 85% of Cardinals gamedays & up to four events per month
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
