Job Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated RN for our SDS at Community Medical Center.
Community Medical Center, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care.
Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County s largest and most active health care facility caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.
Qualifications
Required :Preferred
PALS within 6 months
Scheduling Requirements
Day Shift 9a-7 : 30p 4 days / week
On Call rotation after Orientation, minimum of 3 shifts / month
Monday-Friday-No weekends or Holiday
Will be Cross Trained to Other Peri-OP Units
Essential Functions
- The RN is a direct patient caregiver for our Pre Op patients and Moderate Sedation patients
- Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service
- Ongoing communication & education with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient s care
- Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning
