Pay : $, with pain management experience or $90, for year 1 if no pain management experience.
Job Summary
Seeking a Full-time (4 day / week) pain APRN to join a high functioning pain management team to help meet increase clinical demands.
Provides office-based pain management services to new and established patients (adults), including medication management, certification for medical cannabis, education / counseling, monitoring of medication compliance via PDPM and urine drug screens, minor procedures, and referral to CRNA colleagues for interventions (e.
g., epidural steroid injections at various spinal levels, radiofrequency ablation, facet blocks, SI injections, intercoastal blocks) or other services
e.g., ketamine or lidocaine infusions). Minor procedures may include trigger point injections, joint injections, occipital blocks, cold ablation (Iovera), and Botox for headaches or chronic pain.
May use ultrasound guidance for selected procedures. (If candidate is not currently skilled / competent in such procedures, colleagues will precept / train over time.
Likely would become fully oriented and comfortable with office management of patients first, then devote time to learning procedures.
May provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) with X waiver. (Such service is not required.) Infrequently provides consultation for inpatients and ED patients (in rotation with team members).
EMR : Meditech Expanse
Appointment durations would begin at 1 hour to allow for orientation to EMR. At an
appropriate time, appointment durations would be reduced to match standards for pain providers, i.e., 30 minutes for established patients, 60 minutes for new patients, 20 minutes for procedures.
Typical productivity (based on the usual mix of new and established patients, procedures, etc.) will be 12 to 20 patients per day.
Administrative time is not provided.
In addition to Annual Base Salary, the Practitioner shall be eligible to receive additional compensation for high levels of clinical productivity as measured by wRVU for professional services personally performed by the Practitioner, such as evaluation and management (E&M) services for office visits and consultations and the performance of procedures.
