Nurse Practitioner
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner to fill an opening with a prestigious healthcare company in Virginia Beach, VA .
Daily Responsibilities for Nurse Practitioner :
- Primary Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, patient facing
- Effectively manage acute and chronic medical and behavioral conditions
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation, including ICD 10 conditions
- Mon-Fri 8-5pm (Ideal Flexible with scheduling) Traveling to 3 Long Term Care Facilities surrounding VA Beach & Norfolk, VA
Required Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner :
- Active and unrestricted license in the state which you reside, or ability to obtain by start date
- Graduate of an accredited Master of Science Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice program
- Minimum 1 year NP experience Board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center, with certification in one of the following : Family Nurse Practitioner Adult Nurse Practitioner Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Current, active DEA licensure / prescriptive authority
Preferred Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner :
- 1+ year of clinical experience in practice (long-term care setting preferred)
- Experience in meeting the medical needs of patients with complex behavioral, social and / or functional needs
- Understanding of Geriatrics and Chronic Illness
- Understanding of Advanced Illness and end of life discussions

Pay Details : $70.00$ / hour - $80.00$ / hour
