Description :

As a Behavioral Health Medical Assistant , you’ll be at the heart of our clinical team, working closely with healthcare professionals to support our patients on their mental health journeys.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in a range of tasks, from taking vital signs to assisting with patient intake and supporting our administrative staff.

Most importantly, you’ll be a friendly face that helps make our patients feel comfortable and cared for.

Requirements : What You’ll Do :

What You’ll Do :

  • Learn and grow : We’ll provide all the training you need! You’ll have the chance to learn about mental health care, substance use disorders, suicide prevention strategies, and much more!
  • Patient Care Support : Assist in intake procedures, including measuring vital signs and completing screenings which assist the clinician in determining a patient level of need and appropriate treatment team.

Additionally, you will provide medication support such as medication education as directed by licensed practitioners, and assist with therapeutic activities per the patient’s needs and treatment plan both in the office and / or in the community depending on your desired position.

  • Administrative duties Prior authorization, Medication reconciliation, managing voicemail for refills and patient / family concerns, being a liaison between patients and their treatment team to ensure timely communication of questions or concerns
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with a unique team of Behavioral health professionals to ensure coordinated care, participate in team meetings to discuss progress and treatment plans, and provide feedback and observations to the clinical team regarding patient behavior and needs.
