As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will be responsible for giving our guests the best hospitality experience they can have by :
Train and inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, appropriate guest amenities, and the working conditions of all guest rooms.
Ensures that cleanliness and quality standards are met.
- Check status of all guest rooms to include guest requests, out of order rooms and rooms to be cleaned each day.
- Assess inventory and assign rooms for cleaning.
- Verify and report status and / or discrepancies of rooms.
- Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of guest rooms. Communicate and coordinate with Engineering to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms.
- Perform Housekeeper duties, as needed
- Assist department manager in maintaining close control and inventory of linen and supplies.
- Assists in the maintenance of the lost and found program.
- Issues proper keys to authorized personnel. Maintains key control.
- Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Performs any other duties as requested by your manager
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : A high school education or equivalent experience, with one to two years of employment related experience is required.
Working knowledge of housekeeping is expected. Supervisory skills are required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : You must be able to communicate effectively with staff, management and guests. The ability to operate a two-way radio, cleaning and general office equipment, including a computer, is expected.
This position requires continuous movement and standing, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 35 pounds.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
