Job Description :
As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by processing purchase orders, assisting customers with inquiries, and supporting internal and external sales teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accurately enter purchase orders, ensuring alignment with customer expectations regarding material and freight costs.
- Generate, review, and send order acknowledgments to customers.
- Respond to customer and sales staff inquiries about order status, product information, pricing, lead times, and more.
- Handle returned goods authorizations and credit requests.
- Process credit card payments.
- Provide expert customer support through knowledge of the company’s products and applications.
- Manage inbound sales calls and maintain effective communication between customers, management, and sales representatives.
- Prepare and follow up on customer quotations.
- Ensure special orders receive the necessary attention by coordinating with relevant departments.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, with experience in data entry or order processing within construction, commercial, or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Strong order entry and Windows Office skills.
- Typing speed of 35 wpm.
- Professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
