The Intake / Resource RN, under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment to assist the physician in identification of appropriate level of care for potential patients.
The Intake RN is the initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, facilitates the admission process, and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff.
The Intake RN works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data and verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.

Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse through the State of Colorado Board of Registered Nursing (or eligible to receive or renew).
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or baccalaureate program.
- Clinical experience in psychiatric setting preferred.
