Job Title : Construction Safety Manager (Columbus, OH)
Location : Columbus, OH
Duration : 1-2 years (Immediate Start)
Type : 1099 Contractor
Compensation :
- Hourly Rate : $55 / hr over time after 40hrs at $82.50 / hr
- Completion Bonus : $150 / month
- Pay : Weekly
Schedule :
Hours : Monday to Friday, 10 days, and a 8 hr day on Saturday, 58hrs / wk
Project Scope :
The Construction Safety Manager will oversee the safety of electrical contractors on-site
Qualifications :
- Experience : 5+ years in construction safety management, electrical safety experience preferred
- Certifications : Current OSHA 510 certification required. BCSP cert preferred
Principal Duties & Responsibilities :
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills :
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Knowledge : Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
Work Environment :
Primarily in warehouse, clinical, manufacturing, and construction settings. May require after-hours work or occasional weekends in response to emergencies.
