Summary :
Medical Technologists provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with little or no supervision.
The Medical Technologist's job includes preparing the samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interpreting the results in a timely manner in order to enable the clinician to utilize the data when making treatment decisions.
Other information :
1. Entry Level Position with a Bachelor degree in chemical science, biological science, or medical
laboratory science from an accredited institution.
2. Obtains six CEUs semi-annually.
3. Completes training in at least two rotations within the first six months of employment.
4. Completes mandatory CBLs on NetLearning by the due date.
5. Demonstrates Baptist Health Values.
6. Must successfully complete or be actively pursuing national registration (ASCP or equivalent)
by the end of the first year of employment as evidenced by a scheduled test date.
This job will be authorized 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
