McClure Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Advancing) to work alongside other talented engineers & designers dedicated to engineering excellence on a wide range of projects involving complex building and campus systems.

k.a. The Knack)about all things mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. The Opportunity : Perform necessary engineering functions required for the project to include field investigation, load calculations, equipment selection, system diagrams, sequence of operation and control diagrams, layouts, and specifications, while coordinating with designers, drafters, and engineers.

Collaborate with the mechanical Drafter / Designer on the production of construction documents .(drawings and specifications) Solve problems of a complex nature, with oversight from a more experienced Engineer, in both the design and construction phases of a project.

Under the direction of a more experienced Engineer perform project management activities that can include reviewing and updating the budget, preparing and updating a project schedule, and establishing project communications, standards and files as necessary.

Assist construction progress through shop drawing review, responding to request for information (RFIs), and performing inspections of construction progress.

Effectively coordinate with internal and external members of the design team, including firm staff, owners, architects, and other consultants.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;

participating in professional societies. The Required Capabilities and Credentials : B.S.M.E. from an accredited university or equivalent experience required.

Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.2-5 years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience with a preferred focus on HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, and / or healthcare facilities.

Experience selecting equipment and troubleshooting systems preferred.Institutional / Commercial building design experience required.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required.Proficiency in MS Office - specifically Excel, OneNote, Outlook and Word.

Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings.
