This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.

You should expect that this foundational part of our vision will require your excellent communication and teamwork.

In this role you will work as a System Integrator within the System Integration and Analysis Team on the MK2 Crew Lunar Lander, focusing on the integration of the Avionics system.

You will be responsible for technical budgets, run integrated analyses, and define interfaces that impact the design and integration of the spacecraft.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Act as the negotiator between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests to ensure the optimization of the spacecraft
  • Develop electrical interface control documents (ICDs)
  • Contribute to or lead architecture studies, concept development, verification planning, vehicle integration, and operations support
  • Manage requirements development, definition, and maturity
  • Generate Concept of Operations (ConOps)
  • Coordinate constraints and conflicting requirements across multiple disciplines
  • Ensure coordination of design changes and associated impacts across subsystems

Minimum Qualifications :

  • B.S. in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical subject area
  • Deep technical knowledge in the Avionics subsystem
  • Experience analyzing and managing spacecraft technical budgets and margins (e.g., data budget)
  • Highly knowledgeable of systems engineering practices, integration processes, and mission / safety critical systems
  • Strong ability and desire to analyze complex systems and deliver solutions to results-oriented problems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.

S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Successful candidates typically have 2+ years of relevant experience, particularly experience in digital communication architectures with an emphasis on integrated command and data handling systems
  • M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Electrical, or related technical subject area
  • Experience with electrical integrated testing and verification / validation approaches
  • Deep technical knowledge in multiple subsystems
  • Experience with human-rated spacecraft
  • Experience with MBSE methods and tools including SysML
  • Experience with software tools such as MATLAB / Simulink, Git, Jama, Cameo, Confluence, and JIRA

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $88,440-$123,816

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $96,480-$135,072
