Job Title : Forklift Driver Reports To : Production Supervisor Department : Production Location : Mason, Ohio General Function : Safety conscious forklift driver to supply production with all needed material, packaging, and equipment as necessary.
This position is also responsible for moving material as required in and out of the plant. Job Duties :
- Accurately move inventory and material to and from presses
- Assure material and parts are in proper locations, stacking safely and properly
- Empty scrap tubs throughout the shift as needed
- Package press line 85 and line 108 material using the wrapper
- Complete material tracking sheets; complete and maintain all other required documentation
- Organization of skid areas in and outside of plant; to include housekeeping.
- Assist in moving dies and setting dies in presses
- All other duties as assigned by team leaders and management
Other Requirements :
- Must be available to work overtime, including weekends as required
- Possess a valid tow motor operator’s license issued by the company
- Capable of using the overhead crane safely
Working Conditions : Environment includes the plant, office, dock, in and out of trailers, outside of plant and warehouse (separate location).
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, drive a tow motor, and use a crane as needed. Must be capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and some stooping up to 40 lbs. Education / Experience :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
