The Service Technician is accountable to the Service Manager and holds the responsibility of executing various HVACR tasks for residential and select commercial clients.
Position Overview :
As a Service Technician, you will report directly to the Service Manager and undertake a variety of HVACR duties for residential and some commercial customers.

The position involves customer-focused tasks, requiring individuals who are decisive, tactful, reliable, and proactive. Strong communication skills are vital for engaging with a wide range of customers effectively.
Duties include :
- Collaborating within ad hoc Service Department teams to swiftly and efficiently conduct HVACR servicing jobs.
- Independently performing routine HVACR service activities.
- Assisting Senior Service Technicians in training other team members on service-related topics, such as call-back prevention and equipment protocols.
- Engaging in point-of-work sales of IAQ services, unit components, and residential service contracts.
- Generating lead referrals for the sales team.
- Supporting the IAQ and Installation Departments as assigned.
- Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Service Manager.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma and completion of a post-secondary HVACR program lasting two or more years.
- At least one year of successful experience as a service or installation technician.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interpret and apply manufacturers' instructions.
- Physical capability to perform all duties under various conditions, including extreme weather.
- Interest in continuously developing HVACR skills through self-study, company training, workshops, and other professional development activities.
- Possession of a valid state operator's license and the ability to operate corporate fleet vehicles within 30 days of employment.
- Insurability by the company's insurance carrier.
- Ability to work under pressure, varying schedules, and customer demands.
