Whether it's thermal protection systems for space vehicles, preforms for CMC components, or preforms and fabrics for carbon-carbon processing, we have the experience and expertise to help ensure our customer's success both as a reinforcement provider and through delivery of finished parts.
We are looking for a qualified Technician to support development and production activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment is running optimally.
The ideal candidate will have experience with ovens, furnaces, custom built equipment, process fluid (nitrogen, argon, etc.
plumbing, interpret equipment manuals and communicate with equipment vendors.
This is a full-time, direct hire position with 1st shift hours.

Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of equipment maintenance tasks including preventive maintenance as well as troubleshooting issues to improve equipment uptime.
Equipment includes oven, furnaces, gantries, forklifts, vacuum and transfer pumps, heated tanks, gas lines, and various machining equipment.
- Electrical troubleshooting, experience working with 480 VAC required
- Inspect and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Use multimeter to diagnose electrical components.
- Establish maintenance schedules for equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and be computer literate for documentation of work orders.
- Work with a variety of chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases and follow all OSHA standards in regards to personal protection equipment.
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
Requirements
- Applicants must be an exclusive US Citizens
- Applicants must be willing and able to apply for and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years experience as a technician working with electrical / mechanical systems.
- Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a significant advantage
- A college degree or trade certificate is a significant advantage
- Experience working with cascade-style thermal controllers is a significant advantage
- Experience working with high temperature furnaces used in C / C or CMC processes is a significant advantage
- General mechanical / technical aptitude and good manual dexterity required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment autonomously and under pressure and complete all assigned tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to solve problems using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
- Can work well with others in a diverse group and foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery
- Excellent physical condition and endurance
- Candidates will be required to pass a drug test
- Ability to wear half face respirator or PAPR
