Tax Analyst

Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join their dynamic team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a tax professional to contribute to the company's tax planning and compliance strategies, with a particular focus on trust taxation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for various entities, including trusts
- Conduct tax research on complex issues and provide recommendations
- Assist in tax planning strategies for clients, with emphasis on trust structures
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Prepare tax projections and estimates for clients and internal stakeholders
- Assist in responding to tax authority inquiries and audits
- Contribute to process improvements in tax reporting and analysis
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and analysis, preferably in financial services
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, particularly as they relate to trusts
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Taxation or related field
- CPA certification or enrolled agent status
- Experience working with trust taxation and administration
- Familiarity with financial services industry regulations
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in tax principles and practices, with a particular interest or experience in trust taxation.
They should be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
