Delivers direct and indirect anesthesia and anesthesia-related care to patients for perioperative services, obstetrical services, pain management, and other areas as needed or requested.
Utilizes the nursing process through data collection and assessment; identification and prioritization of patient’s needs;
and development / implementation / evaluation of an anesthetic plan of care. Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality, age-specific care.

Provides management for problems in pain relief; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; pulmonary care; and critically ill patients.
Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory / accrediting body requirements;
and professional practice standards.
Other Information :
- Mainly bread and butter cases General Surgery (robotic cases as well as a Bariatric Program), GYN, Urology, Podiatry, ENT with healthy Pediatric cases, Ortho (regional skills preferred), occasional Pain procedures.
- Also Vascular cases (EVARs performed in Cath Lab).
- Must be proficient with OB (approximately 550 deliveries per year).
- Independent provider call (Seven 1st call and Seven 2nd calls per 10 week schedule) with post-call day guaranteed after 1st call shift.
OB requires callback to be within 30 minutes.
PTO is 10 weeks (minus 6 Holidays).
Requirements Include :
- Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
- Current certification as a nurse anesthetist from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor.
- Current Certificate of Authority (COA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
