Controls Engineer III
Position Overview
The Controls Engineer III is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex industrial control systems to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency.
This role requires a strong background in automation and instrumentation, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement industrial control systems including PLC and HMI solutions.
- Develop and maintain SCADA systems for process monitoring and control.
- Utilize virtualization technologies to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Plan and execute maintenance activities to ensure system uptime and performance.
- Analyze process requirements and develop control strategies to optimize performance.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for control system issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new technologies and processes.
- Create and maintain documentation for control systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in controls engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, SCADA, and PLC programming.
- Experience with SQL and database management.
- Familiarity with low voltage instrumentation and automation systems.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
